What is Hazardous E-Waste?

It consists but is not limited to the following:

  • Computer monitors
  • Computers and computer peripherals (e.g., monitors, keyboards, and printers)
  • Telephones, cellular phones, and other wireless devices
  • Fax and copy machines
  • CRTs
  • Power Supplies
  • Printer cartridges/toners
  • Electronic components on PC's and other electrical equipment

All of these must be handled to EPA and State guidelines

We at Clean Out Your Office Inc. in the process of taking material from you premises, separate the so called hazardous materials and process them to a State licensed and contracted E-Waste Recycler. You now don't have to worry that your materials are disposed of improperly.

Electronic waste is growing 2-3 times faster than any other waste stream (i.e. paper, yard waste). In 1998, of the 20 million computers taken out of service, only 2.3 million (slightly more than 10%), were recycled or eCycled. Between 2000 and 2007, as many as 500 million personal computers will or have become obsolete and enter the municipal solid waste stream. In response, Massachusetts has passed laws regulating e-waste management.

PC Removal

We remove all old, obsolete, junk, surplus PC's, peripherals, and printers. We bring it all to our warehouse and process material to insure no hazardous material is just thrown out and ends up in a land fill. All monitors are processed to EPA guidelines, all printers and toners are handled in appropriate manner. All power supplies and other parts in a PC's which could create hazardous problems are processed to Electronicycle Inc. who is the State contractor for all E-waste. All Drives inside PC's are reformatted and all information is essentially wiped off or the drive is destroyed before it leaves our facility.

Scrap Removal

This is the non-electronic surplus that needs to be removed from your premises. This can be surplus parts, office supplies, paperwork, documentation, tables, desks, filing cabinets, and anything else you want removed from your premises.   (All documentation/paperwork gets processed by us, then goes directly to a Paper Mill for recycling see below).

Electronic Equipment Removal

This may include old mainframes, workstations, telephone systems, typewriters, Test equipment and any other surplus electronic waste you may need removed. This material in many cases may be considered Hazardous material that can not be processed to Land fills, so once removed from your facility we sort it at our warehouse and process hazardous materials to Electronicycle Inc.

Paperwork/Documentation Removal

All companies keep documentation for reference and accounting reasons. These records accumulate and cost a lot to store.   After many years these records need to be disposed of to make space for newer documents or just get rid of unneeded records.   This includes invoices, printouts, correspondence, and any other paperwork records no longer needed. We come in and take all this documentation and process it back to a papermill for recycling. We can go into closets, storerooms, warehouses or any other place your documentation is kept and remove it from you facility.
